Terms & Conditions
The terms of a FiveRent rental: reservation requests, driver requirements, prices and deposit, insurance and liability, changes and cancellations.
Last updated: 20 July 2026
These terms govern the use of this website and the rental of vehicles offered through it. By submitting a reservation request you confirm that you have read and accept them. If anything is unclear, contact us before booking.
1. The service
This website presents our vehicle fleet and lets you send a reservation request. A request is not a binding booking and requires no payment: a rental is agreed only when our team confirms availability, dates, and price with you directly, and a rental contract is signed at handover.
2. Reservation requests
You must provide accurate contact details and travel dates when submitting a request. We normally respond within one business day. Until a confirmation is issued, vehicles remain available to other customers and listed prices may be updated.
3. Driver requirements
Drivers must be at least 21 years old, hold a valid driving licence (an international permit may be required for licences issued outside the EU), and present an identity document at handover. Additional requirements may apply to high-performance vehicles and will be communicated during confirmation.
4. Prices and deposit
All prices are shown in euros (EUR) per rental day. A refundable security deposit, stated on the vehicle page where applicable, is collected at handover and returned at the end of the rental provided the vehicle comes back in the agreed condition. Fuel, tolls, and fines are the renter's responsibility.
5. Use of the vehicle
The vehicle may be driven only by the persons named in the rental contract, on public roads, and in the countries agreed at confirmation. Smoking in the vehicle, subletting, racing, and off-road use are prohibited. The renter must treat the vehicle with reasonable care and report any damage or malfunction immediately.
6. Insurance and liability
Vehicles are covered by the insurance described in the rental contract. The renter is liable for damage not covered by that insurance, up to the applicable excess, and in full for damage caused intentionally, by gross negligence, or in breach of these terms.
7. Changes and cancellations
Because no payment is taken online, requests can be changed or withdrawn free of charge at any time before confirmation. After confirmation, changes and cancellations are handled individually — contact us as early as possible and we will find a fair solution.
8. Website content
We keep vehicle descriptions, photos, and prices as accurate as possible, but they are provided for information and may change. The binding specification of a vehicle and its price is the one confirmed by our team and recorded in the rental contract.
9. Governing law
These terms and every rental contract are governed by Italian law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of the renter's country of residence. Disputes are settled by the competent courts unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
10. Contact
Questions about these terms are welcome at any time — see the Contact page for our address, phone number, and email.
